The first tasks of EUROTRANS in 1969 were to draw up a common nomenclature for the Power Transmission products.

This nomenclature is still the basis for the world custom bodies, (Harmonised System) and for the EUROPEAN and worldwide statistical system. On that base we try to collect data from all industrial nations to get an overview about the world power Transmission Database.

On that base EUROTRANS issues production and trade figures on various member countries which are available over the national associations for their member companies.
