Invitation to the EUROTRANS European Drive Technology Summit 2026 in Helsinki and Tampere, Finland, 30th September to 2nd October, 2026

In the name of our president André Thuswaldner, we would like to invite you to the EUROTRANS European Drive Technology Summit 2026, which will take place in Helsinki and Tampere, Finland by kind invitation of our Finnish member Technology Industries of Finland (TIF).

The Tampere region combines a strong manufacturing tradition with state-of-the-art engineering—making it an ideal meeting place for the European Drive Technology sector.

The program reflects the region: suppliers and OEMs—all just a few kilometers apart. Highlights of the summit include a visit of the Subcontracting Fair in Tampere,  keynote speeches and a roundtable discussion on the industry’s challenges.

 

 

 

ON SEPTEMBER 30th,

at 4:00 pm the Summit Opening Meeting will take place, in the premises of the Technology Industries of Finland,

at 6:00 pm, we will have an Informal Dinner in Central Helsinki, at the rustic restaurant Zetor.

 

ON OCTOBER 1st,

a Bus Transfer leaving at 7:45 am from Hotel Marski, Helsinki, will bring you to Tampere.

At 10:00 am we will visit the Subcontracting Fair in Tampere. Luggage disposal is available at the Fair Grounds.

At 2 pm, there will be a factory visit to Katsa Oy (across the road from the Expo hall.

At 03:30 pm Bus transportation will bring you to Central Tampere, check-in to Hotel Scandic Tampere City

At 7:00 pm there will be a Festive Dinner at Pons Restaurant above the roofs of Tampere.

 

ON OCTOBER 2 nd,

At 8:15 am a bus will bring you to AGCO Power Oy in Linnavuori.

8:50 am the European Drive Technology Summit will start. 

You can look forward to 3 keynote speeches on economic and other interesting topics as well as a round table discussion.

  • “Economic Outlook” – Senior Economist Hanne Mikkonen, Technology Industries of Finland
  • “Building Tomorrow’s Workforce: Finland’s Approach to Boosting STEM Education and Mechanical Engineering Carreers” – Leena Pöntynen, Director Skills and Competence – Skilled Workforce, Technology Industries of Finland
  • “Additive Manufacturing in Metal – a solution for our Industry” - Specialist in Additive Manufacturing, Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite, and Processing Technology IGCV, Germany
  • Round Table Discussion: “Success Factors in the Global Market”

At 12:30 pm, after lunch, you are invited to a factory visit to AGCO Power Oy.

The PARTICIPATION FEE is 250 Euros (VAT not included) for “Early Birds”.
From September 10, the regular participation fee is 350 Euros (VAT not included).
